JULIAN SEAMAN

TAKES T/F WIN!!!

Julian Seaman
Texas Motorcycle Drag Racing traveled to the town of Tulsa, OK which was hoppin’ with motorcycle drag racers from the surrounding states. Saturday, July 5, 2008 was the day to be out at the ever popular and state-of-the-art Tulsa Raceway. Our Nitro Harley top fuel sponsor was Lonnie Red of Red Racing whom is Tulsa’s very own…the notorious “Pride of Tulsa”. Our other sponsors were Jack’s Motorcycle of Tulsa, Fas Coonass Racing, Skunk Dots Biker Magazine, and TMFC Racing Team.

There were Harley top fuelers competing from three different states today- Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas. Red Racing represented Oklahoma, Texas was represented by Garland’s Fletcher “Jocko” Mitchell, the “Intimidator”, and out of Kansas were Julian Seaman and Jerry Griffith. In this Nitro Harley field, Lonnie Red developed mechanical problems-so he was through for the day. In eliminations, Jocko was defeated by Julian Seaman. However, Jocko gave him a tough fight to win over him. Jocko is sponsored by Dallas H-D, H-D of Dallas, Phillip’s Garage, and Ace Powder Coating. The “Intimidator” had just won Kennedale the month before. The final round of Harley Nitro Top Fuel saw Seaman vs. Griffith-both from Kansas. Griffith Racing is piloted by Jerry “Griff” Griffith out of Maize, KS and is sponsored by Griffith Steel. This bike was originally owned by Dale Nungesser.
. Emporia, Kansas’s Julian Seaman of Hog Heaven Racing is sponsored by Hog Heaven Motorcycle Shop. This duo was a spectacular pair to watch race against each other. There was nothing short of pure Nitro muscle going on. As the pair launched, it was a neck-to-neck race with the verdict of “could-be” until the very end. Julian laid a winning et of 7.316 at 163.95 mph versus Griff’s et 8.073 at 171.58 mph. The time lites at the end of the track verified Julian Seaman was Tulsa’s Nitro Top Fuel Winner with the best ET!!
The Harley Top Gas saw some very competitive action. Wes Jordan had the lowest ET and top speed for the top gas this day with ET 8.300 at 145.77 mph. This was Wes’s first time racing a bike. The final round saw Phil Matthews taking a solo bye-win. Red Racing’s Joe Reid of Stillwater, OK developed mechanical failure. Wichita, KS’s Wes Jordan of Chrome Brothers Racing also broke. OKC, OK’s Phil Matthews is sponsored by Matthews Performance …he’s our Harley Top Gas Winner!!!
Pro Metric class was won by Scott Sober of Ponca City, OK.
