IN MEMORY of Ron Belsan
Saturday, June 13th,2009 the Texas Motorcycle Community lost a large piece of its foundation. Houston's Southern Motorcycle Owner, Ron Belsan, has left this world. Ron and his dad, "Uncle Bob" have been one of my biggest influences and have been a household name for as long as I can remember.
Ron was a good man and will always be remembered. I have always looked up to him and I will really be looking up to him now. God-Speed, Ron! Please say a prayer for his family for strength and understanding. written by Bill Allen pic above was taken by Gin Meador at our last race June 7, 2009. for more info-click below on Funeral home to go directly to their web site-to send flowers and/or sign/view guestbook
God saw you were getting tired. And a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around you, And He whispered "Come with Me." With teared-filled eyes we watched you! This was your time and day, Although we Love you Dearly, We could not make you stay! A golden heart stopped beating, Hardworking hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us... That He only takes the Best! It's lonesome here without you, We miss you more each day! Life doesn't seem the same, Since you went away! When days are sad and lonely, And everything goes wrong, We seem to hear you whisper, "Cheer up and carry on." Each time we see your picture, You seem to smile and say, "Don't cry, I'm in God's hands, We'll meet again someday!"

$100 for BEST REACTION TIME!!!
FROM AN EMAIL SENT TO TMDR-- Hello Jim and Becky, This is Michael Majeska from the "5150 Racing Team." I wanted to contact you with a sponsoring idea that the "5150 Racing Team" would like to support. We were thinking about awarding $100 to the drag racer who has the best reaction time/light. Ed and I will bring a crisp $100 to each race ready to award the drag racer with the best reaction time. I will have this award ready for you at Tech Inspection at each event. Our Race Team solidly supports your Texas Motorcycle Drag Racing events and we think this will add to the excitement over the course of the day. You do not have to win your class or even the King of Cash anymore to receive money!!!! It's anyone's game, but I would like to make sure this is going to fit within your event list and that you can advertise this newly added award to the racers. Thank-you Becky and Jim, if it were not for you folks continuing to hold these motorcycle race events, Ed and I and others would be left with nothing to do but bench race. ;-)

The Harley's Angels - Cruzin' to Cure is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Our organization is made up of women who ride motorcycles or are motorcycle enthusiasts with a passion to raise money to help find a cure for breast cancer. Each year, we make a calendar displaying our members and their bikes. All paper, photos, and printing for this calendar is donated; therefore, 100% of the proceeds are donated to the research efforts of the Lester and SueSmithBreastCenter at Baylor College of Medicine and UT M.D. Anderson's Breast Cancer Prevention and Research Fund.
